Mission Statement:

The COHESIVE™ Foundation’s mission is to bring youth and adults an awareness, understanding and functionality of financial literacy. Financial literacy is the paradigm of our society and needs to be exposed, comprehended and established early in life.

Karla Dennis is the founder and owner of COHESIVE™, a tax strategy firm. Dennis is passionate about educating youth, especially, and is always looking for opportunities to expand their knowledge base. Dennis has witnessed first-hand how failure to plan and lack of financial understanding can have a huge and long-lasting negative financial impact on individuals. As a result, she knows the need to provide financial literacy starts with the youth. She has taught her sons and their friends how money truly works. It is crucial to teach everyone how money is made, how to establish a budget, how to invest and save, how to balance a checkbook, how to write a check, and how to understand the stock market and the real estate market and why both are key components in the way our global financial markets work. "There is so much I want to teach, but I have to make sure the basics are covered first," Dennis explained.

The COHESIVE™ Foundation will use several different types of media to work with the youth. Today’s youth are very technologically savvy, and The COHESIVE Foundation will use the types of media to which they are most accustomed to teach them through a series of mini-classes. Those who complete the Foundation’s classes may apply for a scholarship toward furthering their education.

The COHESIVE™ Foundation is a non-profit organization that accepts both monetary and in-kind donations.
